In July 2007, with reference to popular music records, I offered 10 recommendations and another 10 runners-up for the consideration of my son and anyone else who might be so inclined to care. Well, since then, there's been a lot of great new music out, and I've been pondering the possibilities of another list for Zach et al. He's more into alternative rock than country, but we still enjoy swapping comments on our current favorites, and we can appreciate each other's tastes. Besides, his bride is a country girl, which gives him some additional incentive to pay attention. So, again for anyone who wants to eavesdrop on the conversation, here's my 30 favorite records since the summer of 2007 (more or less in order of personal preference):
Darius Rucker, Learn to Live
Halfway to Hazard, Halfway to Hazard

Glad you include Cole Deggs, but what? No Bucky Covington or Jason Michael Carroll? You gotta check them out :)
Thanks for your comment, Cathy Anne.
Bucky's on there, actually; you must have missed his name (eighth on the list, just after Brooks & Dunn).
Jason Michael Carroll is also great, I agree; but he was on the list I did in July 2007, so I didn't include him in this mix.
You have all of my favorites on there for some odd reason... except Blue Moo, and Marie Digby. ;-)
Cool list! I especially like Halfway to Hazzard and Living Hard, although I still need to check out Learn to Live and The Foundation.
I checked out some stuff by The Moody Blues on YouTube today and found that I definitely recognized some of their songs. I'm really curious now which song on the CD I made sounds like them! I'm wondering if it might be Cat and Mouse or maybe Forget It? I suppose it could be Rain or Your Guardian Angel, but I think you said it was in the middle of the album... In any case, let me know when you determine which it was! ;-)
I assume that you bought all of these CDs, but when do you actually have time to listen to them? I have only four young children and listening to music (when there isn't any other noise) is a rare thing.
Ah, yes, these days I rarely listen to music at home. However, I spend a fair amount of time in the car, driving to and fro, and it is there that I do listen to music.
Dishwalla "Opaline"
Three more that could have, maybe should have, made the list:
Travis Tritt, The Storm
Augustana, Can't Love, Can't Hurt
10 Years, Division
